To determine you ring size, you need to measure the circumference of your finger. The easiest way to do this is using a soft tape measure. But if you do not have immediate access to a tape measure, we provide a simple solution that you can use to quickly figure out your measurements.

Measuring Your Ring Size At Home

The String Method

For this method, you will require a piece of string, a pen or pencil, and a ruler. If you do not have any spools of string lying around the house, you can also use dental floss. You can even use paper, by tearing or cutting a thin strip from a piece of paper and wrapping it around your finger.

Step 1: Wrap the string/paper around the base of the finger on which you wish to wear the ring - this is the bottom part of your finger where your finger joins to your palm. You should use one of the ends of the string as the starting point, and wrap it around until it intersects with a point in the middle.

Step 2: Use your pen/pencil to mark the part of the string that intersects the starting point.

Step 3: Use a ruler to measure the length of the piece of string/paper between the starting point and the part that you marked. You have now successfully measured the circumference of your finger. You do not need to measure the diameter, as this can be calculated if necessary by simply dividing your circumference by pi (3,14159...).

Step 4: Take a look at the below chart and find the ring size that matches your circumference. You now know the ring size that will provide the most comfortable fit for you!

Hint: You could also simply measure the diameter of your finger base with a ruler and find it in the below chart, although this method is not as precise.
